eLiterate is an pilot e-zine dedicated to research and review of the implications of digital and alternative literacies for classroom practice. The eLiterate project was founded in March 2009 by a team of teachers and researchers at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
NAP (not another platformer), the original concept behind our game engine is taking shape. Tentatively the game environment surrounding our play mechanic has been named Sight to Site. If the title causes you to think about transporters than you are halfway there. As for the rest you will have to see what the demo and plot will bring.
Using this project page the StS team will put various media on display. You can observe our progress and are encouraged to email Mazo with all comments and suggestions. Be sure to send an email if you would like to be part of the play testing team. All testers will be mentioned in game related media and the credits too.

It took a month but I finally found a camera angle that I think will work best for our platform game. The demo will most likely maintain a similar player point of view.
Justin was experimenting with a few different graphics engines to demonstrate and test weapons, effects, item spawning and collision detection.

Project Not Another Platformer is a bust with progress. This is the latest iteration testing the teleport system for viability as well as play value. In the background a story, style and other game play features are surfacing.
